Contrary to the reports in some sections of the media over its planned relocation from Abuja to Lagos, the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has faulted the reports saying that the council’s head office was based in Lagos.

Clarifying the report in a telephone interview with Daily Champion on Tuesday, the Registrar of the council, Sir Mike Jukwe hinted that it was erroneous for anyone to think that Abuja houses the head office of the council informing that Abuja is only a liaison office for the council.

Jukwe admitted that although there was a relocation plans by the council, he quickly said that the plan was to relocate the head office from its present location at Apapa in Lagos to a more conducive and befitting head office at Apapa where its presence would be felt by its teeming stakeholders.

According to him, “we have always been in Lagos, we have office in Lagos, and the head office is in Lagos. Abuja is a liaison office”.

“What we are saying is that we are moving our head office from where it is now to another place. We are moving our head office in Apapa to a new place in Apapa to accommodate more people and the presence will be more felt”, he said.
