Southeast Ndigbo Lagos is a socio-political group of all Igbos from the Southeast Geopolitical zone of Nigeria who reside, do business or work in Lagos State and who are unrepentantly and deeply committed to the promotion and realization of the interest of the Igbo Nation in particular and Nigeria in general.

The group consists of highly vibrant, proactive and intelligent persons who are sincerely committed to the development and progress of Igbo land in particular and Nigeria in general.

President, South-East Ndigbo-Amaka Group, Mr. Leonard Ogbonna, has called on Nigerians and the Igbo-speaking communities in Lagos State, to participate fully in the 2015 general elections, urging Nigerians to trust the ability of government to conduct credible polls.

He spoke while addressing over 58 market associations, during the market summit and voters’ education organised by the group, to sensitize members on the importance of voting for credible candidates in 2015, recently at the trade fair complex, Lagos.

According to him, the programme became necessary to stress the need for members to participate actively in the current democratic dispensation.

He said it was to create a synergy among over 58 major market associations and Igbo professionals in Lagos.

He said: “Government policies play a major role in regulating our business environment; therefore we have resolved to be part of the election process.”

Southeast Ndigbo Lagos was formed as an organization that would champion the articulation and promotion of the good ideals of the society.  The groups are unapologetically and fully committed to the comprehensive and beneficial articulation and promotion of the opinions, aspirations and strategies of the Igbo man in the larger Nigerian community.

In pursuit of this core objective, we seek due collaboration with well meaning persons and organizations and are therefore always prepared to deploy our structure for the optimal realization of mutual benefits and this we have been doing from inception.

The Southeast Ndigbo Lagos, strongly believes that President Goodluck Jonathan is the right leader at this moment. He has demonstrated his ability to deliver economic and social development since taking office in May 2010. Nigeria is being transformed at an unprecedented pace under his able leadership.
