…Says Jonathan’s administration beneficial to businessmen

President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election bid on Friday got a boost as a political association, Igbo Christian Traders and Gospel Ministers’ Association presented and distributed over 10, 000 musical compact discs in Lagos in support of his ongoing electioneering campaigns.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Chairman of the association, Evang. Emmanuel Ezeani said that the six track album was in keeping with the association’s promise of working for him which it made in October 2014 when it joined other well meaning Nigerians in urging the President to declare his intention to run for the 2015 presidential election.

Evang. Ezeani stated that while the association believed in the power of prayers and in the God that answer prayers, the association however was calling on Nigerians of voting age to go out on the 14th of February, 2015 to cast their votes for the President as according to him, prayer alone was not enough to guarantee success of the outcome of the election to wit the candidates to be elected.

According to him,” sometime in October, 2014, we were here to join well meaning Nigerians to call on President to declare his intention to contest the presidential election 2015. We found him most suitable for the post amongst those presented to Nigerians to choose from”.

“We assured Mr. President then of our total commitment if he declares and to work with him for his re-election. In keeping with our promises, we are mobilizing and have mobilized not only our members across the nation but also our loyalists”.

“To this end, we are here to send forth the music compact disc into the homes of dear Nigerians as a constant reminder to do the right thing, to vote Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. That is the right thing”.

On the exchange rate of the Naira to Dollar and other foreign currencies, he stated that using it as an index of the strength of the economy was unrealistic and elementary economics.

“The international community is commending the Nigerian economy that is growing steadily. Take for example the case of China Peoples’ Republic which is now the 2nd largest economy in the world. Few years ago, the China Yen was exchanging at the rate of 9.5 to $1 U.S Dollars, China continued to make the necessary sacrifices and today, it is the 2nd largest economy”.

“The Japanese economy, the 3rd largest economy in the world is another case in point. What is the exchange rate of the Japanese currency to the Dollar? Jonathan’s administration has been beneficial to businessmen. Put it bluntly, he has made life a lot easier for traders”.

He further called on all Lagos residents to vote for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate for Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje so as to have a Lagos which would servs as a home for every Nigerian and non Nigerians alike.

He said, “we want to call on all Lagosians to vote for Jimi Agbaje also for the governor of Lagos State so that we can have a Lagos State for all of us. A Lagos where every Nigerian can live and contribute his quota for the good of Lagos and indeed Nigeria or do you want a Lagos where Nigerians will be deported from Lagos and dumped elsewhere as garbage? Do you want a Lagos State where motorcycles are seized and given to relations of those that think they know yet no job is provided? Needless to stir the hornet nest, with regards to Danfo and molue drivers, we know the truth”.

“The bottom line is that Jimi agbaje holds the key for a better Lagos. Boldly, we call on all Nigerians to come out en mass and vote massively for the President, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. We call on all Lagosians to vote en mass for Jimi Agbaje of the People’s Democratic Party for a change in Lagos State”.
