In a bid to empower its merchants and continuously grow its Seller HQ Marketplace, the platform that houses its merchants, Konga.com, Nigeria’s largest online mall, recently organised a training program for its new and potential sellers.

The training, which armed the beneficiaries with the necessary tools to maximize their returns on the platform, highlighted the benefits of being a Konga seller and strategies necessary for the success of Konga sellers.

It also exposed them to other relevant tips that will guide them through the Seller HQ registration process.

Muyiwa Kolawole, Vice President, Marketplace Operations and Seller Services of Konga.com, informed that the training was one of the mall’s strategies to boost the sellers’ experience on its platform.

According to him, “the Seller Mentorship programme is aimed at reaching out to new sellers through our mentors and teaching them strategies to grow their businesses on the Konga Marketplace, just as these mentors grew their businesses”.

He further explained that most of the volunteers for the mentorship programme were sellers who joined the Konga SellerHQ from inception, adding that the reason behind their interest in becoming mentors were driven by the success of their own businesses on the Konga SellerHQ.

One of the merchants on Konga SellerHQ, Olusegun Oyetunji, who owns the Ruby Store, said that selling on Konga.com has had a huge positive impact on his business.

“In less than a year of selling on Konga.com, my profit has been tremendous. I never thought my business could grow this much in just a year. I want to become a mentor because it is interesting to lead other people to success just the way I was led. I also derive some fulfillment in mentoring others on how they can create wealth for themselves,” he explained.

The Konga SellerHQ platform aims at providing financial empowerment for Nigerians by creating an online market where demand and supply of every product could be readily met. Sellers, who are interested in selling on the Konga Marketplace, could visit the Konga.com SellerHQ for details on how to enlist.
