Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse II commends Jonathan over $16billion EPZ project

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II, on Saturday commended President Goodluck Jonathan for inaugurating the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) project before the general elections.

The 16 billion dollars EPZ project is located at Ogidigben, Warri South/West Local Government Area of Delta.

The monarch gave the commendation at the 28th anniversary of his coronation as the Olu of Warri in his Palace in Warri South.

He said the project would benefit the Delta people and all Nigerians and urged the people to support it.

He advised the communities hosting the project to create the enabling business environment for investors and everybody.

The monarch also urged the younger ones to engage themselves in meaningful ventures to be become responsible citizens in the society.

The Olu of Warri thanked God for the successful elections, noting that the speculation over post-election violence was aborted by His mercy.

“The election was conducted peacefully and I am pleased with the way it went. There was widespread speculation of violence during the election but I thank God that it was conducted peacefully. “People have been elected, some we wished and some not as we wished, but we thank God for all of them. We pray that through them there will prosperity for all of us,” he was quoted as saying by NAN.

The Warri monarch also thanked God the gift of life and the opportunity to celebrate and praise His name.

Highlight of the event was the cultural display by his subjects – the Itsekiri.
