Mrs. Obiano’s CAFE boosted by foreign group with 30 wheel chairs

Wheel Chair 2Wheel Chair 330 WheelchairsThe spirited effort and commitment of the Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano to caring for the needy and support for indigent and the physically challenged persons through her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ) received international recognition and support with the donation of 30 brand new Wheel Chairs ‎ by a United States of America based group, Grace Project International to CAFE at the Governor’s Lodge Amawbia.

Receiving the mobility aides, Mrs. Obiano expressed profound appreciation on behalf of CAFE for the recognition and support.

According to Mrs. Obiano, “I am overwhelmed with joy because I wasn’t expecting it. I always thought I am alone in my effort but your wonderful gesture ‎has shown that Ndi Anambra and indeed people around the world are appreciative of what we are doing in CAFE. These Wheel chairs are coming at the right time when we are setting up the Old People’s Home in the three Senatorial Districts, and I have no doubt some of the aged will need it for mobility.”

Mrs. Obiano stated that CAFE was committed to supporting the vulnerable and those who can’t fend for themselves explaining that it was through such gestures that her NGO which was run with donor support was able to augment its efforts and implement her numerous programmes.

Speaking further, the Wife of the Governor called on wealthy Ndi Anambra and interested donors to emulate the example of Grace Project International and partner with CAFE to improve the fortunes of the indigent and physically challenged persons.

The facilitator of the Grace Project International donation, Special Assistant, Donor Agency, Mrs. Nneka Onwudiwe, said that they were able to attract thirty brand new Wheelchairs to support the exemplary work of CAFÉ in support of vulnerable persons.

She confirmed that Grace Project International has indicated willingness to partner CAFÉ in the implementation of its intervention programmes in the health sector, stressing that the donor agencies team were also ready and eager to partner and facilitate more fruitful collaborations with CAFÉ.

Presenting the Wheelchairs, Senior Special Assistant, Donor Agencies, Mr. Ernest Adinweruka assured the wife of the governor that the programmes of CAFÉ were laudable and that she would be supported to succeed.

The donor, Grace Project International conducts regular health mission to Nigeria up to six times a year to support healthcare delivery services.
