Skye Bank boosts Mrs. Obiano’s CAFE with 25 sowing machines

The wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano has commended Skye Bank for living up to its corporate social responsibility by fulfilling its promise to support the empowerment programmes of her pet project, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ) by donating 25 Butterfly brand of sowing machines.

The twenty-five sowing machines were delivered to Mrs. Obiano, the sponsor and focal person on CAFE over the weekend at her Aguleri country home, Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State.

Receiving the gifts, Chief Mrs. Obiano thanked Skye Bank immensely for identifying with Anambra State under the leadership of Chief Willie Obiano and by extension her pet project, CAFE.

According to her, “I commend you for this gesture, it shows that you are conscious of what is happening in your environment, and is willing to contribute your quota to improving and empowering Ndi Anambra. Rest assured that we will give the machines to our skills acquisition graduates who really need it to take-off. Like Oliver Twist, we will continue to request assistance from you and other organizations and persons who can intervene through CAFÉ to make the lives of others meaningful”.

Presenting the sowing machines, the leader of the Skye Bank delegation and Regional Manager South-East 1, Dr. Charles Udogu, told Chief Mrs. Obiano that they came to fulfill their promise and to assure her that the bank had been a keen observer of her empowerment programmes  for women under CAFE.

Dr. Udogu said “At Skye Bank, we follow your CAFE projects and have found you a very committed promoter of the course of women, and a person we can partner with to improve the fortunes of women in Anambra. We were proved right when we saw your busy schedule of activities during the last August meeting and waited patiently to meet with you”.

Speaking further, Dr. Udogu said that Skye Bank was at home in Anambra State and therefore always think and dream Anambra in the course of their financial transactions and would like to be recognized as an embedded financial partner not just with CAFE but with the Anambra State government.
