Western Ports GM, Ajayi bags Primetime Reporters’ Award of Excellence

The General Manager, Western Ports, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Chief Michael Ajayi has been honoured with the Primetime Reporters’ Award of Excellence.

The award which was presented to him at the Western Ports Headquarters in Lagos yesterday by the Management of Primetime Reporters was in recognition of Chief Ajayi’s numerous contributions to the advancement of the maritime industry and the nation’s economy in general.

Speaking shortly before the presentation, the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of Primetime Reporters, Mr. Saint Augustine Nwadinamuo stated that Chief Ajayi was nominated for the award after a thorough selection process that saw him among the 30 distinguished Nigerians to be so honoured.

Nwadinamuo recalled that the award was in commemoration of the first year anniversary of the news medium which it dedicated to rewarding deserving Nigerians who had excelled in their various field.

He urged the awardee to see the award as a morale booster that would spur him to give more to the course of the nation and the humanity.

Responding, the recipient, Chief Ajayi thanked the management of Primetime Reporters for the honour done him saying that the award would spur him to do more in whatever capacity he found himself in the authority and beyond.

He dedicated the award to God almighty, his family and the staff and Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Also speaking, the Public Relations Officer, Western Ports, NPA, Mrs. Catherine Udeh thanked the Management of Primetime Reporters for the honour done her boss and by extension the NPA as an agency pledging that the authority would continue in its drive to make the ports efficient and user friendly.
