The Federal Government on Friday commenced the test run of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line.

The Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who disclosed this on his Twitter handle stated that the trains, stations and the tracks were ready for public use in July, 2016.

According to him,” Today, we commenced test run of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line. Trains, stations and tracks ready for public use in July”.

It will be recalled that Amaechi had at an event in Lagos told stakeholders that the Abuja-Kaduna rail line would be ready for use by the end of March 2016 but later said that the earlier date was no longer feasible as a result of some logistics reasons which the federal government could not meet then.
