The militant war in the Niger Delta region is taking a new turn, as the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has declared war on some Chieftains of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The latest victim is Mr. Morris Nwachukwu Boroh, an APC Chieftain in Bayelsa State.

Mr Boroh was attacked in May 2016 by the avengers and he escaped death by the whiskers.

The reason for his attacked was not immediately known, until our investigation reveals that Mr. Boroh became the target of the militant group because he refused to renounced his membership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State.

Our source who did not want his name in prints said the attacked on Mr. Boroh was purely political and that if not for God who saved his life, Mr. Boroh and his family, whom the attackers did not meet at home, by now would have all been dead.

According to our source, the militants have mounted a manhunt on Mr. Boroh and his family to eliminate them, unless they renounced the APC for PDP.

In a chat with our correspondent in Lagos, one of Mr. Boroh’s children, Mr. Christian Okubokeyi Boroh lamented the ugly incident that has befallen his family and called on the avengers to spare their lives, as politics should be a game of interest and that everybody had the right to associate freely in any party of his interest as provided by the Nigerian constitution.

Christian said he was still looking for his siblings and that even himself was not safe as the militants had put a price tag on his family ready for elimination.

He called on the government to come to their aid, to save his family from elimination by the avengers.
