The Police have confirmed the death of a 44 year old Assistant Superintendent of Customs simply identified as Christian who allegedly committed suicide at Lungu village, Gwarimpa, Abuja.
Christian whose reason for taking his life remained unknown was found dead dangling from a rope in his one room apartment.
Report has it that he locked himself in the home and killed himself.
When contacted, the Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, who confirmed the incident said the deceased who was unmarried was staying with his brother and was said to have been recently transferred to Lagos before the incident happened.
Sabo disclosed that preliminary investigations showed the deceased was suffering from depression adding that exhibits recovered from the scene of the incident include some drugs and knife.
