Usman reaffirms determination to collaborate with all stakeholders

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman has reaffirmed the Management’s decision and determination in its collaboration desire with stakeholders in the maritime sub-sector towards the effective implementation of government policies in order to add most meaningfully in all concerted strategies towards revamping the nation’s economy.

Usman made this statement when the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Bayo Onanuga and his team paid her a working visit in her office at the Corporate Headquarters, Marina, Lagos.

She expressed delight and appreciation at the level of coverage as it concerns the NPA from NAN correspondence in its quest at bringing the activities and achievements of the Management of the organization to the general public which she said was worthy of emulation by other agencies.

The NPA boss told her guest that the organization would most efficiently utilized the millage accrued from effective coverage from the News Agency adding that the interaction available from the various tools of the agency most especially in search of a better economy, one of such products in this regards is the quarterly “NAN Forum”.

In her words, “we will prioritize partnership in all we do in order to ensure that we utilize all available variables to our advantage as we aspire to position our ports as a model agency”.

Earlier in his address, the MD of News Agency of Nigeria, Mr. Bayo Onanuga had informed the gathering that his visit to the MD and her Management team was to show utmost solidarity with the present NPA helmsman in view of her achievements thus far in office.

He solicited for the continued mutual synergy amongst government agencies towards the successful implementation of government policies.

He further enlisted the support of the NPA towards ensuring that the agency acquired a competitive edge in information dissemination management.

Furthermore, the MD of NAN stated that its product – the NAN Mobile for instant breaking news on the move would help the organization and stakeholders at large in the area of information sharing in the sector.

On the entourage of the NAN’s boss were the Managing Editor/Director, Michael Mbonye, Director Maritime News, Mr. Leye Ajayi and Head Lagos Office, Mrs. Popoola Kate.
