Police commend Lagosians on peaceful Sallah celebration, avail new CP’s contact

The Lagos State Police command has commended the residents of the state on the peaceful sallah celebrations so far since its commencement on Friday.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole who gave the commendation in a statement in Lagos on Saturday also called on Lagosians to always demonstrate a level of trust in the police by reporting incidents to the nearest Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the police station, Area Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) or by using the emergency toll free numbers 767 and 112.

According to him,”The Lagos state police command wishes to appreciate Lagosians for their peaceful nature so far during this festive period which started yesterday.

“And in so doing the command encourages well meaning Lagosians to always demonstrate a level of trust in the police by reporting incidents to the nearest DPO in the police station/ Area commander/ RRS or by using the emergency toll free numbers 767 and 112”.

Famous-Cole further advised the general public to always exhaust other avenues of reporting incidents to the police before reporting to the Commissioner of Police by following the chains of command by calling DPOs, Area Commanders, then the Commissioner of police.

“Before calls are made to the Commissioner of Police, members of the public should exhaust other avenues of reporting incidents to the police by following the chain of command by calling DPOs, Area Commanders then the Commissioner of police”, he said.

Meanwhile, he revealed that the Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Police command Ikeja, acting Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi could be reached on the following number – 0809 999 0483.
