The event which is slated to hold on Saturday 28th October, 2017 at the Practice Pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos at 10.00am will afford the Governor an opportunity to unfold his achievements to Ndi Anambra resident in Lagos and to seek their mandate in the November 18, 2017 Governorship election in the state.

The cultural day which will be chaired by a prominent son of the state, Chief Chris Ikechi Ezeh will also play host to the Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, the Traditional Ruler of Ukpor, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Felix C.N Onyimadu KSJI, JP, as the Royal Father of the day while the Chief Executive Officer, Emzor Pharmaceutical Ltd., Chief Mrs. Stella Okoli will be the Mother of the day.

Speaking on the event, the President of AASDU, Chief Barr. Vincent Osakwe stated that the cultural day was basically to showcase the rich culture of Ndi Anambra and Igbo nation in general even as he said that various dance group, masquerades and the rich culture of 179 communities in Anambra state will be on display on occasion.

On what will make this year’s cultural day unique, Barr. Osakwe explained,”The last one was held in 2013, since that time, because of challenges within the association, it was actually extended. So, every Anambrarian is eager to see things they have been missing for the past four years. Our governor is coming, incidentally, this year’s edition falls within the election year, we are expecting the governor to tell us his achievements in the last three and half years in the state”.

He therefore extended invitation to all the friends of Ndi Anambra and the entire federation to come and witness the rich culture of Anambra as according to him,”The security apparatus has been extended to every facet of the organization that will be there”.
