Shippers’ Association partners ANLCA to block compromising factors at seaports

Shippers’ Association Lagos State (SALS) has renewed its to partner the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) in blocking all the compromising factors between the stakeholders in the maritime sector and the general public.

The President of the association, Rev. Dr. Jonathan Nicol who made this commitment in Lagos recently at the swearing in ceremony of the new ANLCA President recalled that there were myriads of problems in the maritime sector even as he believed that mankind was created to solve problems.

“With the incoming officers of ANLCA, we will work with you cooperatively, we will also support you, and we will give you whatever it takes to make you succeed. As far as Shippers’ Association is concerned, we are in existence to make sure that the problems that we have in the maritime sector will be solved step by step until one day we will get there, importers will be happy, exporters will be happy, all businessmen will be happy in our country.

“You see, we don’t have another country, so we make our country what it should be. One thing I know that the Shippers’ Association will do and we will continue to do that, is to block all compromising factors between stakeholders and the public because if we caught you and you compromise our ports, then of course, you will see the other side of Shippers’ Association.

“So, we wills stand behind the Nigerian Shippers’ Council as they protect us, we will also support you”, he assured.

While recalling that his association had been working together with ANLCA for quite some time now, he however hoped that the cordial relationship would continue in the next dispensation assuring that he had his association behind ANLCA.

He added,” Shittu has been a member of the family in the Shippers’ Association; we want this synergy to continue with the incoming president”.
