…As stakeholders react
Two terms Chairman of Tincan Island Port Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and a National Vice Presidential Candidate in the recently concluded National Executive Committee (NECOM) elections, Prince Kayode Adetayo Oyinlola is dead.
A statement issued in Lagos by the National Publicity Secretary of the association, Joe Sanni noted that the news of his demise was received Monday morning from some of his close associates and on the ANLCA platforms as posted by the Zonal Secretary West, Alhaji Liasu Oyekangu.
“On behalf of the entire membership of Great ANLCA! Great Professionals!! NECOM wishes to commiserate with the family & members for the death of Prince Dr. Kayode Oyinlola today.
Death, we all know is inevitable. Prince Oyinlola has come and played his own part. In the course of his life, he has positively affected the lives of millions of people across the world. May his gentle soul RIP. Amen”, the statement reads.
It further that the acting National President, Prince Dr. Kayode Farinto had directed the Chairman of Tincan Chapter, Prince Segun Oduntan to open a condolence register in his chapter, being a former Chairman and also at the National Secretariat by the National Secretary, Alhaji Mukaila Abdulazeez, being a former NECOM member.
“Burial arrangements will be announced in due course, please”, it added.
Meanwhile, friends and colleagues of late Prince Oyinlola have reacted following the news of his demise.
A member of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Registered Freight Forwarders Nigeria (AREFFN) and former ANLCA official, Mr. Ejike Metu described the late former Chairman as a good man who lived his life to the fullest and impacted lives in a very special way.
He further described him as a detribalized, stubbornly brave and focused individual adding, “I celebrate you today and always. May your soul find solace in bossom of the lord. I cannot say goodbye, your memory lives forever in me. Vanity upon vanity. Adieu my Prince!”
On his part, the President, Shippers’ Association Lagos State (SALS) commiserated with the family of the deceased on behalf of the association.
Oyinlola was last seen at the Oodua Maritime Forum meeting held last Thursday at the Apapa Amusement Park looking frail and sick as he could not leave his vehicle.
