Capt. Casmir Nwafor has joined other eminent Nigerians to celebrate the children on the occasion of the 2018 Children’s Day celebration.

In his goodwill message to mark the day, Nwafor opined that the future lies ahead of the children irrespective of how badly they have been treated in our society.

He noted that today’s celebration called for sober reflection adding that a proportionate number of children in Nigeria are living in fear owing to the massive killings going on in the country.

Captain Nwafor decried the rate at which Nigerian children were being turned orphans as a result of incessant attacks on the population saying that “many have dropped out of school, roaming the streets like sheep without Shepherd”, even as he stated that “More worrisome is that the Federal Government is not serious about putting an end to the madness”.

He therefore called on well-meaning Nigerians to meditate on how to lay a good foundation for those children and make their tomorrow better than theirs.

“There is nothing better to give them than this, an assured future and better protection”, he added.
