Starzs Group offers automatic sea time experience to best graduated maritime students

Starzs Investment Company Limited has offered to provide automatic sea time experience for whoever will emerge the Best Graduating Nautical Science Student and Best Graduating Marine Engineering Student at the 3rd Edition of “A Day with Nigeria Maritime Students 2018”.

In an email sent to Platforms Communications recently, the company stated that the Best Graduating Nautical Science Student would work as Deck Cadet while the Best Graduating Marine Engineering Student would work as Engine Cadet on Starzs vessels during the duration of their sea time experience with the company.

The management of Platforms Communications appreciates and commends Starzs Group for the kind gesture, and calls on other maritime giants to do same.

Recall that Platforms Communications revealed plans to honour Best Graduating Maritime Students for 2016/2017 academic session in the following maritime and transport related studies:

  1. Best Graduated Marine Engineering Student 2017
  2. Best Graduated Nautical Science Student 2017

III. Best Graduated Admiralty Law Student 2017

  1. Best Graduated Female Maritime Student 2017.
  2. Best Graduated Shipping Management Student 2017
  3. Best Graduated Maritime Transport & Business Studies 2017

VII. Best Graduated Transport Management Student 2017.

VIII. Best Graduated Fisheries Management Student 2017.

  1. Overall Best Graduated Maritime Student 2017.

Convener of the Conference, Mr. Sylvanus Obasi said the Best Graduated Maritime Students Awards is a concept which aims to stimulate healthy academic competition amongst Nigerian Maritime students.

He called on various professional groups in the sector, government agencies, maritime giants and good spirited Individuals to use the opportunity to encourage outstanding academic performance by rewarding the winners with cash donations, automatic employment or scholarship for further studies.
