House of Representatives hopeful for Orumba North/South Federal Constituency in the 2019 general election, Captain Casmir Nwafor has called on all members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Orumba North chapter to set aside all their grievances and participate in the activities billed up to mark the 27th anniversary of the creation of the local government which kicks off today at the Council headquarters, Ajalli.

Nwafor who made this call while addressing journalists at his country home, Oko, Anambra State on Thursday noted that the celebration was not about any person but was more of the interest of the local government adding that the office of the Chairman of the local government was not a personal issue.

According to him,” It’s Emeka Aforka today; it can be another person tomorrow. Thus I enjoin all to be part of the anniversary this weekend so that we can showcase the unity and strength of the LGA before invited guests which should come before any other personal issue or Political issues, real or imagined”.

Note that Captain Nwafor had on recall of Hon. Emeka Aforka as the Transition Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area by the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano earlier in the week, called on the party faithful to put the confusion and bad blood generated by the recall of Hon. Aforka among various political blocks in the council area behind them as there was no winner and no loser in the quagmire since the decision of the governor remained supreme.

Nwafor who is also a legal practitioner therefore enjoined all APGA members in the LGA to put the matter behind them so as to march forward as one family even as he prayed that the major stakeholders of APGA in the council area should use the opportunity to come together and address other burning political issues left unresolved that may resort to the type of confusion of the past few days.

“The major aim of all of us is how to build a united party in the face of the ongoing strengthening of other parties in the country that will face us in the forthcoming elections. Surely we can’t afford to go into the battle with a divided house in the LGA. This is the time for anyone who loves APGA to stand up and be counted”, he appealed.

It is on record that Captain Casmir Nwafor who is also a Knight of the Catholic Church has been a unifying voice in the local government as well as in the entire APGA Anambra State leaving no one in doubt that if nominated to represent the good people of Orumba North/South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, he would be that bridge that would reconnect all aggrieved parties in the constituency, so that together they can go into the elections as a united family.
