Man 38 arrested for defiling 6 years old girl

A 38year old man Abiodun Ojo has been arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for defiling a 6 year old girl.

The suspect who was arrested at Magbara Village via Idiroko on Sunday happened to be living in the same house with the parent of the victim.

The suspect lured the girl into a bush path under the pretence of wanting to send her on errand consequent upon which he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her in the bush.

It was the shouting and crying of the girl that attracted the attention of the local vigilante who rescued the girl and placed a distress call to Police at Idiroko division.

The DPO Idiroko, CSP Aloko Amodu quickly led his men to the scene at Magbara Village and promptly arrested the suspect who has been severely beaten by angry mob.

Both the suspect and the victim were taken to the hospital for medical attention

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Police command, CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution of the suspect.
