Police parade man, 38 for defiling 2 year old girl

…Arrest one for armed robbery                        

Police in Lagos has paraded one Sola Ewulo, male, 38 years, of Taiwo Street, Agbado Ijaiye, for defiling his neighbour’s 2-year-old daughter.

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi who disclosed this at a press briefing in Lagos yesterday said that the mother of the victim had on the 24th of October, 2018, left her in the care of the suspect and dashed into the neighbourhood to buy some provisions.

Edgal added that the mother, on her return after a couple of minutes, could not find her daughter or the man she left her with.

“Much later, she saw her daughter on the corridor of the house scratching her private parts and she complained about the pains she was experiencing.

“On closer examination by her mother, she noticed some whitish substance dripping out of her private parts. The mother was alarmed and so she asked her baby who did that to her and she mentioned the suspect”, he said.

He pointed out that the suspect, who is a commercial bus driver had been questioned in respect of the incident at the Gender Unit adding that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as doctors turn in their report.

Similarly, the operatives of the Lagos State Police command had arrested a masked armed robber, one Ahmed Saliu, 21 years of age at Odoeran in Oworoshoki while robbing traders in their shops at about 9.30pm on the 26th of October, 2018.

The suspect according to the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Edgal Imohimi, was caught red handed by a team led by the DPO of Oworonshoki Police Station.

The CP said , “Although, his gang members fled the scene on sighting the Police team but you can be rest assured that we will get them sooner than later.

“Recovered from him are matches with which he planned to set the Odoeran Marked on fire, cutlasses and cudgels. Suspect will be charged to court”.
