Following his nomination as the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate for the 2019 Presidential election and former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has announced his decision to join one of the leading social media networks, Twitter.

Peter Obi who before now was not on Twitter, on Saturday joined Twitter to “expands the possibilities of engagement”, even as he hoped to receive a warm welcome from Twitter account users.

On a short twit on his new handle this morning, Obi wrote,” I have decided to join twitter since it expands the possibilities of engagement. I hope to receive a warm welcome. Together we will #Atikulate and get Nigeria working again. #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain”.

However, in a mark of solidarity, Youth for Atiku called on Nigerians to follow Obi who tthey referred to as “Our incoming Vice President on Twitter.

“Guys kindly follow our Incoming Vice President @Peter Obi”.

It will be recalled that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar yesterday picked the former Governor of Anambra State ahead of the former Governor Gbenga Daniels of Ogun State as his running mate in the 2019 Presidential election in what many has considered as a perfect team to get Nigeria back on the path of economic recovery.
