AREFFN releases timetable for election of national officers

The Association of Registered Freight Forwarders Nigeria (AREFFN) has released the timetable for the election of its national officers.

According to a notice released to that effect by the AREFFN Election Committee which was endorsed by Chief Gabriel Okonkwo and A.O Vincent, Chairman and Secretary respectively, obtaining of expression interest forms by members wishing to contest for various offices with a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Thousand (N100, 000.00) for each of the offices started today, Monday, 12th November, 2018 at 9.00am and would close by 5.00pm on Wednesday 14th November, 2018.

The notice further said that submission of completed forms at AREFFN National Secretariat starts by 9.00am on Thursday 15th November, 2018 and closes same day at 5.00pm.

It went on to say that screening of contestants starts by 9.00am at the AREFFN National Secretariat on Friday 16th November, 2018 and ends by 5.00pm same day.

It further noted that accreditation and election starts at the AREFFN National Secretariat by 9.00am on Saturday 17th November, 2018 and ends by 2.00pm same day.

The notice added that collation of results and announcement of the winners holds between 2.00pm and 4.00pm same day while swearing in of the winners takes place by 5.00pm same day.

It will be recalled that on the expiration of the tenure of the pioneer executive led by Dr. Frank Ukor as the National President on the 11th of August, 2018, an interim National executive led by Alhaji Bala Lawan Daura was set up by the association to oversee the affair of the association for one year and hand over the affairs of AREFFN to elected officers after they must have regularize the status of the association with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
