Gunmen abduct Director Lagos State Fire Service, six others

The Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Mr. Rasaki Musibau and six others were on Saturday night at about 8.00pm abducted along Iwoye Bridge, Itokin-Epe road, Ikorodu Area of the state.

The spokesman of the Lagos State Police command, DSP Bala Elkana who confirmed the development in a statement in Lagos on Sunday said that the Police were on trail of the abductors.

Elkana informed that the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu has tasked the command’s Anti-kidnapping Unit to ensure that they rescue the seven persons abducted by the hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers.

He however disclosed that the CP in company of the Tactical Unit commanders visited the crime scene in the early hours of Sunday and assured the family of the victims that the command was leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the victims were rescued unhurt.

The abducted according to the command’s image maker included; Rasaki Musibau, Mufutau Adams, Funmilayo Adelumo, Asiogu Martha, Lasisi Muka and two others.

“Vehicles recovered from the scene include Toyota Sienna, Toyota Corolla and Opel Jeep.

“Meanwhile the command has assured Lagosians of their safety at all times as it has intensified patrols and surveillance along Itokin-Epe road, Ketu, Ereyun and other major highways in the State”, he said.
