The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Gbadebo Jimoh, Male and Malik Adeboye, Male in connection with the murder of a Resident Doctor with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Dr. Stephen Urueye.
Confirming the arrest, the Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police command, DSP Bala Elkana disclosed that the Itire Police Station on Thursday received a distress call that some hoodlums armed with knives attacked the victim and dispossessed him of his valuables such as handsets.
Elkana stated that the hoodlums equally stabbed him at his right thigh and back with knife adding that the incident happened around Canal Area of Ishaga Road, Idi Araba while the victim was going somewhere with his female friend, one Hakeem Habeeb Simbiat Opeyemi, a 200 level Student of Department of Health Education, LASU.
He added that the victim was rushed to LUTH Idi Araba where he eventually died in the early hours of Friday.
“Two suspects namely; Gbadebo Jimoh, M and Malik Adeboye, M were arrested in connection with the case. CP Zubairu Muazu directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police Panti to take over the investigation”, he added.
