Rerun: Police announce restriction of vehicular movement in Ajeromi/Ifelodun Constituency on Saturday

Following the re-run election scheduled to hold tomorrow by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ajeromi/Ifelodun Federal constituency of Lagos State, the Lagos State Police command has announced restriction of vehicular and mass movement of persons from 6.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday.

According to a statement issued in Lagos by the Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Bala Elkana, the areas affected by the restriction order includes; Ajegunle, Layeni, Amukoko, Ijora Badia, Trinity and Tolu.

The statement warned members of the public especially those living in the affected areas to take note of the order adding that violators of the restriction order would be arrested and prosecuted.

It however assured registered voters of their safety during the rerun election as the command had deployed adequate number of personnel to ensure their safety during the exercise.

The statement reads,” In view of the rerun election for Ajeromi/Ifelodun Federal constituency scheduled to take place on Saturday 27th April, 2019,  Lagos State Police Command has placed restrictions on vehicular movements and mass movement of persons from 6am to 3pm in the following areas: Ajengule, Layeni, Amukoko, Ijora Badia, Trinity and Tolu.

“Members of the Public are to take note, especially those living within the affected areas. Violators of this restricted order will be arrested and prosecuted.

“Registered voters are assured of their safety during the rerun election as the Command has deployed adequate number of personnel”.
