Police arrest kidnappers of 2 year old girl from MFM Church

The Lagos State Police command yesterday arrested two suspects namely; Nwaigbo Magnus and Sixtus Osunwoke Egwim who kidnapped a 2 year old girl, Esther Ojo from the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) Regional Headquarters, Agege on 24th March, 2019 at 12:30pm.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana who disclosed this in a statement in Lagos yesterday said that on Monday, at about 8.00am, acting on a credible intelligence, the Divisional Police Officer, Igando Police Station, CSP Taiwo Kasumu led his plain cloth surveillance men on the trail of suspected kidnappers.

Elkana noted that the kidnappers, Nwaigbo Magnus and Sixtus Osunwoke Egwim had already demanded ransom of undisclosed amount from the parents of the baby and the church adding that the kidnappers continued to change the venue for the collection of ransom within Igando axis for over 4 hours until they were rounded up by the police.

“Upon interrogation, the DPO followed up on available information and the baby has been recovered from a hidden den and reunited with the parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Oladipo Ojo and well-wishers all crying for joy.

“The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu mni directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate and charge the suspects to Court”, he added.
