46 year old man in Police net for defiling underage girls in Anambra

A 46 year old man, Charles Igwedibia aka Alagbon of Dusogu Village, Awkuzu in Oyi LGA of Anambra State has been arrested by the Police detectives attached to Oyi Division of the Anambra State Police Command for defiling two different girls aged 12.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Haruna Mohammed who confirmed this to newsmen in Awka pointed out that the suspect allegedly had series of unlawful carnal knowledge with a 12 years old girl at Nkwelle village between June and July 2019.

He added that preliminary investigation also revealed that the suspect also defiled another 12 years old girl of same address within that period.

According to him, all the victims were taken to Chira Hospital, Awkuzu and the Medical Doctor confirmed laceration of their hymen.

The Anambra State Police spokesman stated that the case was under investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.
