Police smash robbery syndicate in Anambra, recover vehicle

The Anambra State Police command has smashed a five man robbery syndicate at Ojoto, in Idemili South LGA of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the arrest in a statement in Awka have the names of the suspects to include; Emmanuel Amaechi, 35, Innocent Onyedikachi, 29, Obinna James, 20, Chukwuma Edeh, 22 and Tochukwu Owor, 27.

Mohammed disclosed that the suspects conspired and snatched a Toyota Camry 2009/2010 model at gunpoint in Onitsha from one Nzube Udegbu on the 4th of August, 2019.

He however posited that the snatched vehicle was recovered in the possession of the suspects adding that the case was under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
