Man, 50 in Police net for defiling 3 year old girl

…As Police arrest 34 year old man for defiling teenager

The Lagos State Police command has arrested a 50 year old man, Isaac Ubogu of No. 31 Awoniyi Elemo Street, Ajao Estate, for allegedly defiling a 3year old girl.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Bala Elkana, Ajao Estate Police Station had received a complaint to that effect at about 10.00am on 30th August, 2019, leading to the arrest of the suspect by detectives from the Family Support Unit

The statement disclosed that the suspect confessed to committing the crime adding that the victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination.

It added that the suspect would be charged to Court.

In a related development, a 34 year old man, Taiwo Sheuases has been arrested for defiling a teenage girl of about 15 years old in Bariga Market square.

DSP Bala Elkana who disclosed this to newsmen in Lagos said that the Bariga Police Station about 7.30pm on 27th August, 2019 received a complaint that the suspect allegedly committed.

He stated that the suspect was arrested by detectives from the Family Support Unit and that he confessed to Committing the crime.

“The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination. The suspect will be charged to Court”, he said.

He added,” On 31st August, 2019 at about 2015hours, Bariga Police Station received a complaint that one Fatai Nafiu of No. 9 Adetoke Street, Bariga forcefully had an unlawful sexual intercourse with a 15 year old girl (name withheld).

“A team of detectives from the Family Support Unit arrested the suspect. He confessed to the commission of the crime. The victim/survivor was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination. The suspect will be charged to Court.”
