…Reaffirms Rotech Energy Service Limited as authorized developer
…Warns public against fraudsters
The Anambra State Government has disowned a forged statement on the social media purported to be written by it officials on the ownership of the large swath of land where the Anambra Luxury Estate is being developed at Nkwelle Ezunaka GRA, Oyi Local Government Area.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Dr. C. Don Adinuba on Monday said that investigations had established that the statement was forged by Hillside Estate Ltd. to hoodwink people into parting with large sums of their hard earned money under the guise of selling plots of land in the area to the unsuspecting members of the public.
It stated that the forged statement was a reaction to the Anambra State Government’s announcement on August 26, 2019, informing the public that Rotech Energy Services Ltd had been authorized to develop over 500 housing units in the place.
The statement however warned members of the public against having any land transactions in the area with either Hillside Estate Ltd or Next Agro Transformation Ltd as these firms were not stakeholders in Nkwelle Ezunaka GRA.
It reads,” The fraudulent statement, written in barely literate language and style, was neither signed by Mr Primus Odili, the Chief of Staff to the Anambra Staff Governor, nor by Mr Nnamdi Onukwuba, the Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture who, unknown to the statement forgers, has since June 3, 2019, ceased to be the Honorable Commissioner for Lands. It is clear that agents of Hillside Estate have been impersonating Anambra State Government functionaries, manufacturing all manner of documents.
“Given the well-established record of Hillside Estate Ltd as a group of interlopers, trespassers and fraudsters, security agencies in the state have been directed to arrest its officers and agents immediately and bring them to justice. The government cannot tolerate a culture of lawlessness and impunity in Anambra State.
“The general public is reminded that Governor Willie Obiano, in exercise of the power conferred on him by the 1999 Constitution, as amended, and by the Land Use Act, has approved the building of the Anambra Luxury Estate in Nkwelle Ezunaka GRA by Rotech Energy Services Ltd. Consequently, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the State Government and Rotech Energy Services Ltd on July 5, 2019, at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.
“All those interested in getting properties in this area are advised to deal with Rotech Energy Services Ltd, and never Hillside Estate Ltd or Next Agro Transformation Ltd.”
