As part of efforts to pay homage to the late Mrs. Promise Anaroke, wife of the CEO/ Editor-in-Chief of MMS Plus newspapers, Mr. Kingsley Anaroke, maritime industry stakeholders have set aside November 7th, 2019 for a night of tributes.

The event is scheduled to take place at Eagle Club, Surulere, Lagos, from 5pm to enable industry operators, friends and colleagues have an opportunity to extol the bereaved as demanded by stakeholders.

The Chief Executive Officer, Anaroke revealed this at the weekend as he stated that the event would give maritime industry stakeholders, friends and family of the deceased an opportunity to pay tribute to the contributions of Promise Anaroke in various areas of endeavour.

Mrs. Promise Anaroke, a founding Member of Kings Communications Limited passed on after brief illness recently.

Promise was a Board of Trustee member of MMS Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame (WOFHOF) Initiative. She was also a member of the Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT), Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA), African Women in Maritime (WIMAFRICA), Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Nigeria, among others.

Following her venture into politics, she served as the Supervisor for Education, Oji-River Local Government Area, Enugu State between 2015 and 2017. She was also the Lagos State Coordinator of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) E-Women network, Enugu State Coordinator of Women 4 Women and held many other political positions in Enugu State.

However, the MMS Publisher has also revealed that burial arrangements would begin afterwards as Promise would be laid to rest in Enugu State few weeks after the night of encomiums.

Anaroke noted that Promise was more than his companion. “She was my teacher, manager, pearl of inspiration, partner and organizer” he said.

“From the scratch, she had chosen a path less travelled as mortals and invited may other people to follow. She was a woman who has influenced and touched the lives of people and will be greatly missed by her loved ones” he remarked.

Her family led by Mr. Kingsley Anaroke, the husband, has continued to receive visitors on condolence visits at the company’s headquarters and the deceased’s residence.

Even death would have been shocked and embarrassed by the deluge of condolence messages and inspiring remarks on her personality while living.
