Sequel to the emergency meeting he had with Area Commanders, Area Operations Officers, State Traffic Officer and Divisional Traffic Officers on traffic management and control, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu yesterday held a meeting with various security and traffic agencies in Lagos State.

The meeting which took place at the Police Command Headquarters, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos had in attendance representatives of the Nigerian Army, Air Force, Navy, Department of State Service (DSS), Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagso State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) and Lagos Neighbourhood Security Corps (LNSC).

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Bala Elkana, areas of collaboration were highlighted.

“The meeting agreed on multi-agency approach and collaboration to holistically manage and control traffic and traffic related crimes in the State. It was equally agreed that personnel of the various agencies be warned against violating traffic laws”, the statement said.
