Obiano assures of completion of Anambra airport project in less than 18 months

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has said that the Anambra airport project will be ready in less than eighteen months.

He stated this during the Anambra Business and Investment Roundtable tagged, “Beyond Infrastructure: Rethinking The Future” which took place at the Governor’s Lodge Amawbia.

Ejike Abana, quotes Governor Obiano as saying that the essence of organizing the event was to attract investors to the State and disclosed that work has resumed on the site adding that about one kilometer of clearing has been done on the three point six kilometer runway.

Governor Obiano maintained that the State is desirous of investors in all sectors including Education, Roads, Health, among others, pointing out that Anambra is ready for investors who are willing to construct roads with state of the art facilities and toll them.

The Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke who joined in wooing investors, said that Governor Obiano has great interest in the overall development of the State adding that he will continue to support his desire to create lasting legacies.

Speaking on the Anambra Vision 2070 Initiative, the Chairman of the Committee, Professor Chukwuma Soludo who stressed that it is a plan for the people by the people added that the current number of membership of the committee is not enough saying that more people will be co-opted to achieve the mandate.

Speaking to the ABS, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Uchenna Okafor, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Primus Odili and the Executive Chairman, Anambra Physical Planning Board, Mr. Chike Mmaduekwe described the event as apt.
