…Rescue three children
Two female suspects are now in Police net for allegedly being in possession of three kids suspected to be stolen in Anambra State.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police command who confirmed the arrest to newsmen in Awka said that at about 1.30pm on Friday, Police Detectives attached to Ogidi Division of the command, following intelligence report arrested the suspects at Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
Mohammed noted that the suspects were arrested with three kids; two males and a female whose age ranged between 1 and 5 years respectively.
According to him, “Suspects were negotiating on how to sell the children alleged to have been stolen/trafficked from Enugu-Otu village in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State.
“Case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
“Consequently, the Commissioner of Police, CP John B.Abang,fdc urges Parents whose children got missing and fall within the above age bracket to report at the PPRO Office, State Command Headquarters, Awka for proper identification and collect their children.”
