… Urges public to patronize the facilities

Following the visit by the Force Medical officer, AIG Modupe Obembe and subsequent upgrade of its facilities, the Police Medical Services in Anambra State on Saturday recorded its first ever surgery after three hours of successful operation and removal of 26 fibroids from a patient at the Police Clinic located at Central Police Station (CPS), Awka.

According to a statement issued in Awka on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, the feat was achieved through the active support of the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, CP John Abang.

The statement disclosed that the Police hospital is open to the public as well as referrals as part of the command’s efforts towards enhancing Police Community Relations.

“The public are enjoined to take advantage of this opportunity and patronize the facilities for a qualitative and affordable health care delivery through a professionally trained and humane staff who maintains absolute confidentiality and respects patient’s rights while discharging their duties”, it stated.

It would be recalled that the Force Medical officer, AIG Modupe Obembe had on Sunday paid a one day working visit to Anambra State Police command to inspect medical facilities in the state in compliance with the directive of the Inspector- General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu.
