In keeping with the promise of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano to repair the roads once the rains subside, Amawbia old road By-pass to Expressway is undergoing major repairs.

The Commissioner for Works Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor earlier confirmed that the contractors have mobilized to sites across the state to commence repair of broken roads and potholes in earnest with a view to ensuring that the roads are in good condition before Christmas and beyond.

Meanwhile, at the Amawbia By-pass, the site Engineer of Pachucks Engineering Company, Engr. Jude said the road is undergoing major repairs with greater attention to its failed section being fortified enough with stone base and sharp sand before asphalting the entire stretch.
