The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Abba Kyari, has tested positive for Coronavirus on Tuesday.

Kyari was said to have possibly contracted the virus during a visit to Germany and Egypt for a meeting on the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission (NERC).

It was also gathered that the Executive Chairman of NERC, Prof. James Momoh, was part of the meeting.

He was said to have attended many meetings after his return from the trips last week.

Report had it that Kyari had started coughing during a meeting on Sunday at the Aso Rock Villa, fuelling speculation he could have the virus.

His blood sample was taken and his test result came in on Tuesday morning, confirming him positive.

However, it was reported that President Muhammadu Buhari’s test result showed negative.
