Anambra CP orders investigation into alleged Police misconduct at Nkwo Roundabout Umunze

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra state, CP John Abang has ordered a full scale investigation into shooting and deflating of the front tyres of a motorist, Nnaemeka Offor at Nkwo roundabout Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State by a Policeman.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police command, SP Haruna Mohammed disclosed that the CP was deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident.

The statement said that the CP further assured the public that justice would be done in the case and the outcome of Police investigation would be made public in due course.

It reads, “The attention of Anambra State Police Command has been drawn to a video clip that went viral in the Social media on the 14/4/2020 in which a Police officer allegedly shot and deflated the front tyres of a Mazda CX-9 4WD with Registration AKD 277 FM driven by one Nnaemeka Offor at Nkwo roundabout Umunze in Orumba South LGA of Anambra State.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP John B.Abang,fdc is deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident and has ordered for a full scale investigation into the matter.

“The CP further assures the public that justice would be done in the case and the outcome of Police investigation shall be made public in due course please.”
