Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, on Tuesday, donated one truck of consumable and non-consumable medical equipment/supplies to the Nigeria Police Medical Services as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to support the Police in this period of national emergencies.
The consignment included some personal protective equipment needed in the fight against the spread of COVID -19 which had become a global pandemic.
Responding on behalf of the Inspector-general of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, during a brief ceremony at the foundation’s office in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, the Commissioner of Police, CP John B. Abang thanked the foundation for remembering the police and also extended the appreciation of the Inspector-General of Police.
The CP further assured the Coordinator, Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, Hon. Sir Tony Obi that the consignment would be delivered accordingly and be utilized judiciously for the purpose it was meant for.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Anambra State Police command, SP Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the donations to newsmen in a statement in Awka yesterday disclosed that the consignment also contained books donated to the Force Education Department of the Nigeria Police Force.
