In compliance with the federal government directive easing the lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic from May 4, 2020, the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) has directed its staff on grade level 14 and above to resume work thrice a week on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 2pm.

In a statement obtained from the verified Twitter handle of the organization, SON disclosed that its corporate and operational headquarters in Lagos and Abuja had opened for business.

The agency enjoined its stakeholders and customers to take optimum advantage of its automated service offerings as the organization resumed nationwide operations in compliance with the federal government directive easing the lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic from May 4, 2020.

SON listed the services to include; certification for locally manufactured and imported products, products registration, ports and border clearance and service charge payment among others.

Director General, SON, Mr. Osita Aboloma attributed the advice to customers and stakeholders to the need to reduce physical presence at its offices to the barest minimum for the safety and well-being of all.
