These include seasoned speakers like Clare Henshaw, the Country Coordinator of The Migrant Project, Nigeria, an arm of SEEFAR, the international social enterprise organization to deliver a presentation on “Confronting Migration Challenge in West Africa: The Way-Out.”

Nigeria Immigration Service’s Deputy Comptroller and image maker of the agency, DCI Sunday James is also billed to speak on “Nigeria’s 2020 Visa Policy and Implications for African Economy.”

The first session of the summit titled “Migration: Remedies for Covid-19 and the Economy was held between May 28 and 30, 2020.

Other speakers include Catholic Priest and herbal practitioner of over 25 years, Reverend Father Anslem Adodo, Chairman of Morocco Migration Journalist Network, Salaheddine Lemaizi, Massinissa Benlakehal, an international media trainer from Tunisia and also a guest speaker from Ghana Immigration Service.

According to the President of JIFORM, Ajibola Abayomi, the event was aimed at updating knowledge of over 200 journalists spread across the continents apart from other volunteers focusing on migration issues.

He said the foundation which held its first international migration summit in Abuja in 2019 with participation from several agencies had  subsequently organised three additional conferences apart from featuring in a global migration summit in Tunisia in 2019 was keen to keep its members informed on dynamics of migration and happening across the globe.

“We cannot pretend not to know that Covid-19 has changed our world, in so doing we are eager to appraise the possible remedies for the rampaging disease and the economy both from migration and other perspectives”, he said.
