Man, 46, allegedly defiles his friend’s seven year old daughter

A 46-year old man, Mr. Atoguhas been arrested by the Police operatives attached to the 33 Division for allegedly defiling his friend’s seven year old daughter.

Atogu, a native of Ofenta Nsugbe in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State was arrested on Thursday.

Confirming the arrest in a statement in Awka, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police command, Mr. Haruna Mohammed stated that the suspect allegedly lured his friend’s daughter who is deaf and dumb, aged seven years old and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.

He further said that Police detectives took the victim to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed by the medical doctor.

According to him, “The suspect has voluntarily confessed and attributes his act to devil’s influence and manipulations. Case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police, CP John B.Abang,fdc after which  suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.”
