Nigeria Immigration unveils 2020 Annual Report

The Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola Tuesday unveiled the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) 2020 Annual Report at the Service Headquarters Abuja.

The Honourable Minister who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr. Shuaibu Belgore noted that the content of the Report revealed that the Service fared well in the year 2020 which further showed the level of commitment by the Service and its parent Ministry, the Ministry of Interior.

While commending the Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede for consistently making the Annual Report available, he called on other agencies to take a cue from the NIS by making the rendition of Annual Report a duty.

In his remarks, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, stated that despite the challenges of COVID-19 in the year 2020, the NIS was able to maintain high tempo in its operations, reforms and service delivery.

The CGI also encouraged Nigerians to take advantage of the Annual Report to avail themselves with activities of the NIS as the document will be accessible via the Service Official website: www.immigration.gov.ng
