The Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone B, Kaduna in its usual tradition has presented a record of its stewardship in the last three weeks of April, 2021.
Comptroller Al-Bashir Hamisu in a briefing with newsmen in his office in Kaduna today yesterday, revealed that his Unit made one hundred and twenty-two seizures within a period of three weeks of its operations from 9 – 29 April, 2021.
Items showcased to the press during the briefing include one thousand, seven hundred and eleven (1, 711) bags of foreign parboiled rice, five hundred and ninety one (591) cartons of foreign spaghetti and macaroni, three hundred and sixty (360) cartons of pharmaceutical products, one hundred and ninety one (191) kegs of foreign vegetable oil, seventy six (76) bales and sacks of second hand clothing, seventy (70) bags of foreign fertilizer, twenty seven (27) vehicles as means of conveyance amongst other items.
These seizures made by Federal Operations Unit Zone B at various locations within the zone have a combine Duty Paid Value of One hundred and Sixty five million, One hundred and Ninety eight thousand, Five hundred and Forty four Naira, Thirty two Kobo only (N 165,198,544.32).
Comptroller Hamisu, therefore, called on the general public to respect and comply with government fiscal policies which has been put in place for the growth of the economy and for the benefit and progress of its citizens.
