In an effort to sustain the existing public order and safety in the state, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, CP Tony Olofu, yesterday, sued for peace and tolerance among political parties as he interacted with the political parties’ representatives at the Anambra State Police Command headquarters, Awka.

The CP assured the good people of Anambra State that the Police were committed to working with other patriotic stakeholders towards ensuring public order in the State before, during and after the political rallies.

The CP noted that as the head of internal security in the state, he would always be on ground to coordinate the security deployment and ensure that, all things being equal, the rallies shall be hitch-free.

He therefore, called on members of the public to coordinate themselves and cooperate with the security agents in the course of discharging her constitutional duty.
