… Condemns killing of Traditional Rulers in Imo

Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state, Distinguished Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu says, plans are on top gear to tackle insecurity in Nigeria when the party takes over in 2023.

Anyanwu, the South East Consensus candidate for the position of National Secretary of PDP, maintains that since the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is doing nothing to reassure Nigerians of adequate security, he revealed that such callous mistake has been identified by the PDP for urgent correction with a view to restoring public sanity and confidence.

Senator Anyanwu stated this while reacting to the killing of two Traditional Rulers in Njaba local government of Imo state.

He described the ongoing killings of innocent people in the South East, including that of the Traditional Rulers as not only senseless, barbaric, but sacreligious and needless.

According to him, “no right thinking human being of Igbo extraction no matter the level of insanity, disagreement or hatred can raise a gun or any object against a Traditional Ruler who are highly reverred as custodians of culture, norms and tradition.

“When things that are unusual begin to happen in our climes, it therefore means that things have fallen apart and the center cannot hold. The summary of the whole thing is that APC has failed Nigerians and the need to flush it out is non negotiable. We must demonstrate and express our grievances against them with our vote in 2023”

The erstwhile Senate Committee Chairman on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions therefore charged Nigerians to take their destinies in their hands, having seen that APC does not have any regard for their security and welfare.
