The lingering dispute between the winner of the Face of Maritime International 2020, Miss Blessing Uchechukwu Eugene and Mr. Sylvanus Obasi, the Proprietor of Platforms Communications Concept, Promoter of the brand and organizer of the Beauty Pageant, Face of Maritime International, which led to dethronement of Blessing Uchechukwu Eugene as the Queen of Face of Maritime International 2020, has been resolved.
The resolution followed the intervention of the fathers of the maritime industry, leadership of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), stakeholders of the maritime industry, friends and well-wishers.
According to a statement in Lagos on Friday by the Executive Director, FOMI, Mr. Sylvanus Obasi, the organizers of Face of Maritime International, Platforms Communications Concept, its proprietor and staff regret the inconveniences caused to Queen Blessing Uchechukwu Eugene, her sponsors, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, her family and friends while the misunderstanding lingered.
“Following the resolution of the dispute between Blessing Uchechukwu Eugene and Platforms Communications Concept, Promoter of the brand and organizer of the Beauty Pageant, Face of Maritime International, Platforms Communications Concept hereby revokes with apologies, the dethronement of Blessing Uchechukwu Eugene as the Face of Maritime International 2020.
“Platforms Communications Concept hereby reinstates Blessing Uchechukwu Eguene as the Face of Maritime International 2020 and all her entitlements restored and settled.
“However, we regret to announce that Queen Blessing Uchechukwu Eugene has voluntarily resigned and will no longer continue in office as the reigning Face of Maritime International 2020. Her resignation is to enable her pursue her academic and other projects”, Obasi explained.
He, thereafter, wished Queen Blessing Uchechukwu Eugene all the best in her endeavours.
