The Institute of Leadership Assessment and Development Nigeria has successfully trained airports security personnel on contemporary security surveillance.

The two day training which ended in Abuja on Friday was held in collaboration with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Highlights of the two day training were the issuance of Certificate of Participation to the participants and group photographs to keep the memory of the training alive.

Recall that the Institute recently inducted some distinguished Nigerians including the Minister of Defense, Major Gen. Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd.); the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo and Hon. Justice Abdul Aboki, Justice of the Supreme Court and conferred on them the Fellowship of the Institute of Leadership Assessment and Development Nigeria in Abuja.

Other public officials inducted and conferred with the Fellowship of the Institute included: Special Assistant to the President on African First Ladies Peace Mission, Dr. Mairo Tanko Almakura; Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu, CEO Auda/NEPAD/APRM Nigeria; Prof. Charles Okechukwu Esimone, Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; Chief Dr. Fabian Nwaora, OON as well as Chief Dr. Alexander OKafor, OON of the Chikason Group.

Speaking during the ceremony, Dr. Baba Adamu, Director General of the Institute, disclosed that the Institute of Leadership Assessment and Development Nigeria arrived at a decision to acknowledge and induct public officials, deserving individuals and business leaders as Fellows of the institute.

According to Adamu, the Fellowship induction, though long overdue but never too late was conferred on some public officials and business executives on merit.

He noted that it was time to identify, acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the forerunners of their development strategies by projecting their image as role models.
