… Seeks cooperation of resident to forestall any ugly incidences

Following threats by terrorists to abduct President Muhammadu Buhari and the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai in a viral video and subsequent attack on the troops of the Guard Brigade by armed bandits in Abuja, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has urged all the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to synergise and be on the same page with it and other security agencies in ensuring that they forestall any ugly incident in and around the FCT.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi who made this call in a statement on his verified Twitter handle, @princemoye1 noted that the Police were not leaving any stone unturned to fortify the Federal Capital Territory and its environs.

Adejobi revealed that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) had ordered for additional deployment of assets to strategic areas of the FCT while the Force Intelligence Bureau had been charged on robust Intelligence gathering and information sharing amongst other agencies.

‘’All residents of the FCT are urged to synergise and be on the same page with the Police and other security agencies in making sure that we forestall any ugly incidences in and around the FCT’’, he said.
